What this is

Hiring Signals ("we", "us") reports the open roles a company publishes on its own public job board — Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby — read from those platforms' documented public JSON APIs, together with a diff against the previous time we read the same board. You ("you", "the customer") pay per scan at the rates published on our pricing page. We are an independent Ounie product.

Billing

There is no subscription. Scans are billed in Ounie credits (1 credit = 1¢) from your shared Ounie wallet at 6 credits per company scan, plus 1 credit for each role description you request. Credits are reserved when a scan starts and settled on what was produced. A scan where no job board could be found, or that fails upstream, refunds the reservation in full and automatically. A company whose board is live and empty is a real result and is billed. Credits are purchased and managed on ounie.com; your past scans stay readable regardless of your balance.

Keyless x402 calls are paid per call in USDC. A malformed request, and a company for which no job board can be found, are both refused before any price is quoted. Otherwise the payment is verified before the scan runs and settled only once there is a real reading, so a result with nothing behind it is refused rather than charged. A settled x402 payment is final and cannot be reversed.

What this is not — read this one

An outcome of board_not_found is not a finding that a company has no open roles. It means we could not reach a job board for that company on any supported platform. Some companies use an applicant-tracking system we do not read, run hiring privately, or publish nowhere reachable without a key. Every response states the outcome explicitly and lists every candidate board we probed. Do not present, resell, or act on that result as evidence that a company is not hiring.

Every result is a reading of a third party's system at a moment in time. A board can change a second later, a platform can be briefly unreachable, and a role can be filled, paused or held without that being visible to us. Where a platform publishes no value for a field we return null and say so rather than inferring one — treat that as unanswered, never as a negative. This product reports roles a company has published about itself; it is not a people database, holds no contact information, and makes no claim about any individual. You remain responsible for what you act on.

Acceptable use

Submit company domains, not payloads. Do not use the service to harass or build dossiers on private individuals — it returns roles, never people. Do not present our output as a complete record of a company's hiring, and in particular do not report a board_not_found outcome as a company not hiring. Do not attempt to discover endpoints we have not documented, bypass rate limits, or resell raw access to the service.

Attribution

Job postings belong to the companies that published them, and every role we return links back to the company's own posting. Job-board platform names are the trademarks of their owners and are used here only to identify the source of a reading; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any of them. If you republish a result, keep the source links with it.

Availability

The service depends on three third-party job-board APIs and on the companies' own websites, all of which change over time and may refuse or throttle individual requests under their own policies. An unreadable board degrades to board_not_found and refunds automatically. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, and the set of supported platforms may change.

No warranty

The service is provided as-is, without warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Refunds

Scans that find no board, and failed scans, refund automatically — the credit reservation is reversed to the exact pools it was drawn from. For anything else, open a support ticket.

Liability

Our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any loss arising from your reliance on a scan result, a delta, or the absence of one.

Termination

Either party can terminate at any time. You keep access to scans you have already paid for and can export them before closing your account. We may suspend accounts for material violations of these terms with notice.
